JZ eSIM Privacy Policy

Updated: June 15, 2026
Effective: June 15, 2026

JZ eSIM is an eSIM device management application provided by Shenzhen Jiuzhou Electric Appliance Co., Ltd. The app is mainly used to identify Jiuzhou CPE/eSIM devices under the current Wi-Fi network, view device and mobile network status, scan or manually enter eSIM activation codes, manage eSIM Profiles, and perform local firmware upgrades.

We value your privacy and the protection of your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect your information.

1. Information We Collect and Use

To provide the app's functions, we may process the following information:

  1. Device connection information
    This may include the current Wi-Fi SSID, BSSID, gateway IP address, local network IP address, and network connection status.
    Purpose: To determine whether your phone is connected to the Wi-Fi network of the target CPE/eSIM device and to establish communication with the local device.
  2. CPE/eSIM device information
    This may include device model, MAC address, serial number, GPON serial number, software version, hardware version, device type, host name, running time, CPU status, and memory status.
    Purpose: To display device information, determine whether the connected device is a supported CPE device, and provide device management functions.
  3. Mobile network and eSIM information
    This may include ICCID, IMSI, EID, IMEI, phone number, operator or service name, network type, band, signal strength, IPv4/IPv6 address, DNS, eSIM Profile list, and Profile enablement status.
    Purpose: To display cellular network status, determine eSIM activation status, and switch or delete eSIM Profiles.
  4. eSIM activation code
    When you scan a QR code with the camera or manually enter an activation code, the app reads the QR code content or the text you enter.
    Purpose: To send an activation request to the local CPE/eSIM device so that the eSIM Profile can be downloaded and enabled.
  5. Administrator login information
    When you enter device upgrade or management flows, you may need to enter the device administrator account and password.
    Purpose: To log in to the local CPE/eSIM device and obtain a device authorization token. This information is used for local device authentication and is not used for advertising, profiling, or unrelated purposes.
  6. Local firmware upgrade package
    When you actively select a firmware upgrade package, the app reads the selected file and uploads it to the local CPE device.
    Purpose: To complete a local device firmware upgrade.

2. App Permissions

To provide the functions described above, the app may request the following permissions:

  1. Camera permission
    Used to scan eSIM activation QR codes. If you deny this permission, you can still manually enter an activation code.
  2. Location permission
    Android and iOS may require location permission before an app can read the current Wi-Fi name, BSSID, or related network information. This app does not use this permission to continuously track your geographic location and does not use it for advertising.
  3. Nearby Wi-Fi / Wi-Fi status permission
    Used to read Wi-Fi connection status, identify the current network, obtain the gateway address, and assist with connecting to or accessing the local CPE device.
  4. Network access permission
    Used for communication between your phone and the local CPE/eSIM device, and for necessary network requests performed by the device during eSIM activation.
  5. File access capability
    Used only when you actively select a local firmware upgrade package, so the selected firmware file can be uploaded to the local device.

3. Storage and Transmission of Information

The app mainly communicates over the local area network with the CPE/eSIM device to which you are currently connected. Most device information, network information, and eSIM status information processed by the app is used for current page display and device operations.

Except for eSIM activation, device management, or functions that you actively trigger, we do not use the information described above for advertising, user profiling, or purposes unrelated to this app's functions.

During eSIM activation, the activation code and related eSIM Profile download process may be handled by the CPE/eSIM device in communication with a mobile operator, eSIM service platform, or SM-DP+ service. Such processing may be subject to the privacy policies of the relevant operator or service provider.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information.

Information may be shared or transmitted where necessary in the following situations:

  1. Based on your actions, the app sends activation codes, ICCID, Profile operation instructions, firmware upgrade packages, and similar information to the local CPE/eSIM device you are connected to;
  2. During eSIM activation, the device may communicate with a mobile operator or eSIM service platform;
  3. Information may be disclosed as required by laws, regulations, regulatory requirements, judicial authorities, or administrative authorities;
  4. Information may be processed within a necessary scope to protect the lawful rights and interests of users, devices, the company, or the public.

5. Third-Party SDKs

The app uses Flutter and certain functional components to provide network communication, QR code scanning, Wi-Fi information access, permission requests, file selection, and related capabilities. The app is not currently integrated with third-party advertising SDKs or analytics SDKs for advertising delivery or user profiling purposes.

If third-party SDKs are added in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy and explain their names, purposes, and the types of information they may process.

6. Information Security

We take reasonable technical and management measures to protect information security, including limiting the scope of information use, using device authentication mechanisms, and requesting permissions only when necessary for app functions. However, please understand that internet and wireless network environments are not absolutely secure. Please properly protect your device administrator account, password, eSIM activation code, and firmware upgrade package.

7. Your Rights

You can manage your information and permissions in the following ways:

  1. Disable camera, location, nearby device, or network-related permissions in system settings;
  2. Use manual activation code entry if you deny camera permission;
  3. Avoid selecting a local firmware upgrade package if you do not want file reading and uploading to occur;
  4. Contact us using the contact information in this policy if you need to inquire about, delete, or correct information related to our services.

Please note that disabling certain permissions may prevent Wi-Fi identification, QR code activation, device discovery, or local firmware upgrade functions from working properly.

8. Children's Privacy

This app is not designed for children. If you are a minor, please use this app with the consent and guidance of your parent or legal guardian.

9. Updates to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy based on product functions, laws and regulations, or operational needs. After an update, we will publish the new Privacy Policy on this page and indicate the updated date. For material changes, we will notify users in an appropriate manner.
